Joanne E. Stewart

Leetonia - January 24, 2009 - Joanne E. Stewart, 78, of 362 Columbia Street, died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday at the Blossom Nursing Center, Salem.

Mrs. Stewart was born December 20, 1930 in Columbiana, a daughter of Curtis W. and Erma M. Meek Rapp. She was a homemaker and had lived in this area all of her life. Joanne was an avid golfer and played in several leagues in the area.

She is survived by three daughters, Carrie (Walter) Savage of Washingtonville, Christine L. Tullis of Hanoverton, and Anne L. Wolford and her fiancAC., David Mathey of Leetonia; two sons, James Brian (Bonnie) Stewart of Leetonia and Daniel L. (Michelle) Stewart of Austintown; two sisters, Jean Caldwell and Jane Dodson, both of Columbiana; a brother, Donald Rapp of Columbiana; eleven grandchildren, Scott (Andrea) Savage of Leetonia, Laura Savage of Fairview Park, OH, David Savage of Salem, Jon Stewart, Adam Stewart, and Lindsay Stewart, all of Leetonia, Kristofor Stewart with the US Army in Afghanistan, Erin Stewart and Sean Stewart, both of Austintown, Kantele Franko of Columbus, and Ryan Wolford of Leetonia; and three great grandchildren, Emily Savage, Garrett Savage, and Zachary Stewart.

Private family services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
