Boardman- JoAnne Grace Biros, age 86, of Boardman, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at her residence from a short illness.
She was born on July 10, 1939, in Sharon, PA, the daughter of the late John and Mabel Axe Rodemoyer.
JoAnne was a graduate of Sharon High School and received her bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition -dietetics from YSU. She continued her education and received an additional associates degree from the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts. She worked for various restaurants in the area and was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell where she had also served as treasurer of the Sisterhood. She loved square dancing and traveling with her dance groups, The Teacup Chain Square and the Iron City Squares. JoAnne had many other hobbies and passions including, knitting, reading, cooking, shopping and flower gardening. She also loved to collect recipes, crazy socks and vast amount of jewelry. JoAnne was also a proud breast cancer survivor. She was a very sharp dresser who loved putting on her heels and dressing for special occasions. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with her friends.
Her husband, Pete Biros, whom she married in 1957, preceded her in death on, October 3, 1983.
JoAnne is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Joseph) Bailey of Kinsman, OH, and Cheri (Gene) Klug of Tavares, FL. Also surviving is a son, Kerry Biros.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Biros and three brothers, Jack, Jim and Ron Rodemoyer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, in Campbell, OH.
Services will be held on Friday, at 10:30 am, at the church, with Archpriest Andrew Bartek officiating.
Burial will take place at Dugan Cemetery, Fowler, OH.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
