NORTH LIMA – James E. Kuhar, 81, passed away March 23, 2015 at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on March 18, 1934 in Northside Hospital in Youngstown OH. He was one of three children to the late Joseph Kuhar and Katherine Kuhar.
“Jim” graduated from Springfield High School in 1952. He worked for Coastal Tank Lines for 14 years where he was a member of Teamster’s Local 377; Universal Energy for 4 years; S.E.T. Inc. for 15 years retiring in 2006.
Jim had a love for all things mechanical, always working with trucks, cars, tractors and anything else with an engine. He loved spending time caring and maintaining the lawn and garden of his country home.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dolores Thompson, whom he married April 11th 1968; five sons, Eugene (Tammy) of Lakeland, Robert Kreidler of Columbiana, James Kreidler of Manua, OH, Anthony Kreidler (Jan) of Abu Dhabi, UAE and David Kreidler of Houston, TX; a daughter, Kelly (David) Dunlap of North Lima; thirteen grandchildren, Baleigh Kuhar, Tonie Marie (Oscar) Madrid, Honie Kreidler, Katie Kreidler, Mark Razo, Leanna Razo, Cara (Gary) Suttles, Joe Kreidler, Jamie (Rocky) Bosley, Stefan Kreidler, Matthew Kreidler, Jason Kreidler, and Bryan Dickens and sixteen great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene and one sister, Wilma.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, 28 North Main Street, Columbiana, Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, two hours prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, North Lima.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Florida Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Jim during his final hours.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA.
