Jessie T. Hanak

Columbiana - November 26, 2005 - Jessie T. Hanak, age 90, passed away Saturday evening at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Hanak was born February 27, 1915 in McMecken, WV, a daughter of Ben and Emma Diamond Williams, coming to Youngstown in the 1930's. She resided in Struthers for 38 years.

She worked at the U.S. Steel Company in their executive dining room for 15 years.

Her husband, John Hanak, whom she married on November 13, 1937 died May 22, 2002.

She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Burk of Sevierville, TN; a son, William (Jean) Hanak of Columbiana; a sister, Mabel Boles of Wheeling, WV; five grandchildren, Susan (Sean) Titus, Bill Hanak, Nancy (Thad) Wright, Keith (Judy) Hanak, and Shelly (Zaryl) Bush; and eight great grandchildren, Katie Moon, Jacob Titus, Rachel Titus, Morgan Hanak, Laney Hanak, Emily Moon, Noah Bush, and Kayla Bush.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Williams and three sisters, Annie Millhouse, Alma Morehouse Beemon and Nellie Pavlick.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, 28 North Main Street, Columbiana, with the Reverend Robert Goff officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
