Jesse L. Smith, Jr
North Lima-February 4, 2009-Jesse L. Smith, Jr., 55, of North Lima, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Smith was born June 19, 1953 in Camp LeJune, NC, a son of Jesse L. and Fawn Lehman Smith, Sr. and had lived in this area all of his life.
He had been employed as service manager at Greenwood Chevrolet, Youngstown and formerly owned Werner's Service, New Waterford. He loved flying model airplanes and was an avid golfer and car collector.
Besides his parents of Negley, he is survived by his wife, the former Elaine S. Young, whom he married July 22, 1972; two daughters, Tracy (Sean) Simmons and Brandi Smith, both of New Waterford; a son, Jason L. (Rachel) Smith of North Jackson; two sisters, Teresa Pickens of Negley and Connie Sickelsmith of Lisbon; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Joshua Simmons.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor David Rose officiating. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
