Jeffrey Walker

East Palestine - June 29, 2007 - Jeffrey L. "Chet" Walker, 50, of 580 East North Avenue, died suddenly at 8:36 a.m. Friday at the Salem Community Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Chet was born August 20, 1956 in Salem, a son of the late James R. and Margaret M. Greaves Walker and had lived here all of his life. He was a 1974 graduate of East Palestine High School where he remained an avid Bulldog supporter. He enjoyed all sports and especially golfing with his friends. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.

Chet was an automobile salesman for the past 18 years, last working with Brittain Motors, East Palestine.

He is survived by his wife, the former Kimberly K. Woods, whom he married May 20, 1978; a son, Curtis J. (Nicole) Walker of Poland; a sister, Mrs. John (Karen) McMillin of East Palestine; and a brother, Douglas (Sandra) Walker of East Palestine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, with the Reverend Donald Pentz officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
