Jeanette was born October 17, 1934 in Columbiana, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Betty Burkle Spanabel and had lived in the area all of her life. Above all her family, children and all the grandchildren were the true love of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter “Walt” Schmidt, whom she married on August 22, 1953; two daughters, Pam (Dick) Schmidt of Columbiana and Nancy (Bud) Morrow of Columbiana; two sons, Rick (Debbie) Schmidt of Columbiana and Randy Schmidt of North Lima; three sisters, Donna Sammons of Columbiana, Carole (Kevin) Crouse of Clinton and Bobbi (John) Grossen of Salem; eight grandchildren; four step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gail Loveland and Kathy Young.
