Jean Snow

Salem - Jean Snow, age 97, of Salem, died on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

She was born on May 24, 1927, in Salineville, daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Mapel Hunter.

Jean had worked as a retail clerk, she was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia and had currently been attending St. George Catholic Church, Lisbon. She enjoyed playing bingo and slot machines.

Her husband, Robert B. Snow, whom she married on November 22, 1947, preceded her in death on, April 6, 2006.

Jean is survived by her two daughters, Molly Grubbs of Leetonia and Susan (Tim) Stegall of Salem; four sons, Robert (Dorothy) Snow of Leetonia, Samuel Snow of Boardman, John (Patty) Snow of Mesa, AZ and Tim (Jody) Snow of Salem and numerous  grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Patrick Snow, Douglas Snow and Joseph Snow; a sister, Peggy Wolfe and two brothers, Jim Hunter and Patrick Hunter.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George Catholic Church, Lisbon, with Father Stephen Wassie officiating.

A private burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
