East Palestine - Janice D. Foster, 85, of 1903 Rauch Road, died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Foster was born April 15, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Leroy and Vida Cracraft Main and had lived in this area most of her life, coming from New Middletown. She was a homemaker. She especially loved to travel with her husband and had also worked part time at the Enon Valley Sale Barn.
Her husband, Lawrence C. Foster, whom she married November 28, 1947 died July 23, 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie (George) Cooper of Columbiana; three sons, William E. (Amy Dyke) Foster, Thomas A. (Patty) Foster, and Ronald S. (Linda) Foster, all of East Palestine; a foster daughter, Katie Diehl of Beaver Falls, PA; a sister, Mary Lou Foster of Petersburg; eight grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
A son, Donald Lee Foster and a brother, Harold Main are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
