Janet Rae Repasky

Listen to Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Janet Rae Repasky, who left us on February 17, 2025, at the age of 54.

Born to John and Cheri Repasky on January 21, 1971 in Youngstown, Ohio.

Janet was a remarkable soul who had an extraordinary way of making everyone she met feel special. Whether through a kind word or simply being there when it mattered most, Janet’s love and compassion knew no bounds. Her ability to touch hearts will live on in the many lives she brightened.

Janet’s dedication to others was evident in all aspects of her life. She was a passionate and tireless advocate for metastatic breast cancer, always stepping up to support friends and strangers alike, organizing fundraisers, and offering her unwavering support to those in need.

She also loved fiercely and deeply, particularly her dogs, Lyric and Luka, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Janet was employed with Steritech for 14 years. Janet's colleagues at Steritech will remember her as an exceptional employee, mentor, and co-worker, where she excelled and inspired everyone around her.

Above all, Janet’s generosity and kindness were defining characteristics of who she was. She had a heart of gold and would have given you the shirt off her back without hesitation.

She is now reunited with her dear mother, Cheri, and though we grieve her loss, we find comfort knowing she is at peace.

Janet is survived by her father, John Repasky; her sister Penny Linsted and her husband Rusty; her brother David Repasky and his wife Renea; nieces Heather Schmader (Brad), Jennifer Warner (Matt), Meghan Linsted (Jamie), and Elizabeth Wagner (Chad); as well as great-nieces and great-nephews Korryn, Abigail, Jacob, Kennedy, Cooper, Colton, Brynlee, and Blake.

Janet is also survived by her dear friends, Lisa Barbbaro and family, and Susan Calvin and family who were a constant source of support and love in her life.

As per Janet’s wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Metavivor- Metastatic Breast Cancer Research as that was close to Janet's heart.

We will forever cherish Janet’s memory and honor her legacy by carrying forward her kindness, generosity, and compassion in all that we do.

Janet’s spirit and love will continue to live on in the many people she touched. While she may no longer walk among us, her impact will never be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
