Janet Elizabeth Fegert

East Palestine, OH-Janet E. Fegert, 80, died at 4:10 pm Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Salem Community Hospital following a year long illness.

Mrs. Fegert was born March 2, 1932 in East Palestine, a daughter of Carbide and Goldie George Biggins, and had lived in this area all of her life.

Janet was Methodist by faith. She was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandma to her family. She also loved her dog, Skip and enjoyed yard sales.

She is survived by her husband, William Fegert, whom she married June 30, 1950; a daughter, Judy (William) Keck of New Waterford; three sons, William (Debbie) Fegert and Timothy (Donna) Fegert both of East Palestine and Randall (Holly) Fegert of New Springfield; a brother, Tom (Jean) Cartwright of East Palestine; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Bessie Ward, Mary Cartwright, Ruth Blair and Nancy Cartwright, three brothers, William Biggins, Junior Guy and Glenn Guy, and a grandson, Shawn Felger.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Friends will be received from 10-11 am Saturday at the funeral home.
