Jane Baker

New Waterford- Jane Baker, age 84, of New Waterford, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Parkside Health Care Center.

She was born Olive Jane Weikart on February 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Delmont and Olive Bailey Weikart.

Jane was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church and its Joy Circle. She was a longtime 4H advisor and belonged to the Columbiana Rose Society. She was an avid Ohio State University and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

She is survived by her husband Harold Baker, whom she married on August 15, 1954; two daughters, Denise (Gary) Fieldhouse of New Waterford, and Kim (Chris) Barlow of Baltimore, OH; two sons, Kevin (Debra) Baker of New Waterford, and Kent (Christina) Baker of New Waterford. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Shawn Fieldhouse, Shannon Fieldhouse, and Seth Fieldhouse, Kurt Baker, Keith Baker, Kaleb Baker, Kasey Hudson, Jasun Baker, Justin Baker, Jacob Baker, Bailey Barlow, Shelby Barlow and Turner Barlow, as well as thirteen great grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Detmar Weikart.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be at the East Fairfield Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
