James G. Shenton, Jr

East Palestine-February 2, 2009-James G. Shenton, Jr., 61, of 3792 N. Pleasant Drive died at his home.

Mr. Shenton was born December 28, 1947 in East Liverpool, a son of James G. and Pauline Wolfe Shenton, Sr. and had lived in this area ten years coming from the Washington, PA area.

Jim was a welder for Early International Sales and Service in East Palestine and had been a member of Masonic Lodge #362 F.&A.M. Fort Myers Beach, Florida. His wife, the former Ruth Miller, died December 22, 2004.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Salyers of Rogers; three sisters, Evelyn (James) Hickman of Millersburg, IN, Glenda (Butch) Seitz of Glenmore and Nancy Carouthers of Alliance; a brother, Dewayne Wolfe of East Liverpool; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James L. Shenton and a brother, Roger Shenton.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Randy Clark of the Union Ridge Bible Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
