James Mitchel Fox

James Mitchel Fox passed away Thursday, September 23, at the Salem Community Hospital with his family present. He was born on March 28, 1942, in Fallston, Pennsylvania to Dixie and Rose (Harter) Fox.

Mr. Fox was a retired steelworker, having worked at the Eljers plant for thirty years.

He resided in Leetonia for 36 years, with his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann, with whom they had five children, Jodie Fox of Salem, Mrs. Gary (Jayne) Ridgley of Lisbon, Julie Miller of East Palestine, Mrs. David (Jessie) Miller of Salem and one son, James M. Fox, and his wife Toni, of Salem. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Floyd Fox of Ellwood City, Pa., and Rick Fox of Mass., three sisters, Kay Shields and Bonnie Russell of New Galilee, Pa. and June Grant of Washingtonville and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as brothers, Chester, Joseph, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Private services will be held at the Wood-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
