Salem- James Lynn Dattilio, age 61, of Salem, died on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on November 17, 1952, a son of the late Anthony P. Dattilio and Rita "Jean" McAllister Dattilio.
Jim had worked as a tool and die maker for Lowry Tool and Die and Main St. Machine for a total of 25 years and enjoyed golfing. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem, VFW in Washingtonville, OSI Life Member, American Legion (Sons of the American Legion) and Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Rae "Susan" Lederle Dattilio, whom he married on June 26, 1976, his mother, Rita "Jean" Dattilio of Leetonia, son, Alan (Michelle Haddle) Dattilio of Salem, a sister, Rebecca (Frank) Detchon of Leetonia and by three brothers, Michael (Cindy) Dattilio of Leetonia, Terry (Stephanie) Dattilio of Twinsburg and David Greenamyer of Lexington, NC.
Per his request, the family will receive friends on Monday, October 6, 2014, from 10AM -11AM at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia, on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:30 AM with Father David Weikart officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia.
