East Palestine-Jaison T. Harris, born August 19, 1982 in Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on July 30, 2011 and is at peace with our Lord.
Jaison is the first beloved born son of Robert J. and Tami DeCesare Harris, best friend and dedicated big brother to Gregory R. and Mark A. Harris, trusted and loyal friend to those who knew him.
Until recently, Jaison led an adventurous life traveling the United States building intricate wooden bridges. He was a carpenter by trade. Recently, Jaison provided his skills to help his family and others with renovation projects. He always wanted to help others and was admired and respected for his abilities and strong work ethic.
Jaison lived his entire life a selfless man, always protecting and thinking of others before himself. His final humane act of dedicating his body to those in need is a comfort to his family. Even in death, he is helping 50 to 80 strangers with his donations.
His passions include playing poker, riding his Suzuki GSX-R, fishing and hunting as well as collecting guns and shooting target practice with his brothers.
Along with his parents and brothers, Jaison will be dearly missed by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Tom DeCesare of Largo, FL; paternal grandmother, Ruth Harris of Monroeville, PA; aunts and uncles, Carol and Ron Dasta of Columbia, SC, Judy and Pat Halbleib, Connie and George Steinbaugh and Dan and Sherry Harris all of Monroeville, PA, Janie Logue of North Huntington, PA, Barbara and Joe McArthur of Moon Township, PA, Donna and Frank Lamanna of Penn Hills, PA, Tom and Kathy DeCesare of Overland Park, KS, Janet DeCesare of Austintown and Nick and Susan DeCesare of Columbiana; as well as his many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert D. Harris and his uncle, Dennis Logue.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Centenary United Methodist Church, East Palestine.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any voluntary contributions be made to Social Concerns of East Palestine.
