Jacqueline "Jackie" Morgan

New Waterford- Jacqueline Morgan, age 76, of New Waterford, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.

She was born on March 20, 1938 in Sebring, OH, a daughter of the late Claude E. Johnson and the late Margaret Cox Mahon.

Jackie was a member of Lake Mount Church of Christ, New Waterford and had spent much of her life working as a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tatting. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved decorating her home with family photos. Mostly she will be remembered as a woman who enjoyed baking and cooking for both her family and her church family.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Morgan whom she married on May 4, 1991; a son, William (Bridget) McGath of Darlington, PA; a daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Cvetas of Huntington Beach, CA; a step-son, Douglas (Delora) Morgan of Fredericksburg, VA; two step-daughters, Jackie Burns of Austintown and Terri (Eric) Guthrie of Beaver Falls, PA; three brothers, Claude (Mary) Johnson of South Vienna, Gary (Alta) Johnson of East Palestine and Larry (Gloria) Johnson of East Palestine and by two sisters, Sherry (Donald) Bishop of New Waterford and Linda Johnson of Sebring. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Jackie was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lynn McGath, a brother Charles Johnson and by her step father, Raphel “Skinny” Mahon.

The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. They will again receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Tim Postle, Evangelist officiating.

Burial will be at Little Beaver Cemetery, Enon Valley, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the church.
