Irmgard M. Altomare

Columbiana-Irmgard M. Altomare, 95, passed away early Friday morning, June 30, 2017 at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Altomare was born December 29, 1921 in East Prussia, Germany, a daughter of Wilhelm and Emma Theophil Tunnat and came to the United States as a young child.

Irmgard was a homemaker and Lutheran by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Altomare, whom she married June 6, 1941; her daughter, Judith Hetherington, a sister, Edith Suliot, two brothers, Wilfried Tunnat and Heinz Tunnat and a grandson, Richard Altomare.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Altomare of Carrollton; a son, Richard Altomare of Worthington; a brother, Walter Tunnat of Lisbon; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Friends will be received from 10 am -11am Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel. Services will follow at 11 am at the cemetery chapel with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will be in the Columbiana Cemetery.
