Irene Elizabeth Hall

Columbiana-November 5, 2008-Irene Elizabeth Hall, 81, died at 2:10 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Community Hospital.

Mrs. Hall was born November 11, 1926 in East Palestine, a daughter of Jacob and Mary Irma Bush Mellott and had lived in Columbiana since 1965.

Irene had worked as a bakery helper at the Dutch House Restaurant in Columbiana and prior to that had been employed at the Salem Golf Club for 25 years. She attended the First Christian Church of Columbiana.

She is survived by a son, Gary L. Hall of Leetonia; two brothers; Clifford Vankirk of New Waterford and Ralph Vankirk of Minerva; six grandchildren and one great grandson.

Two sons, William R. and David E. Hall and a brother, Leroy Vankirk preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Randy Morocco of Victory Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery.
