Denver, NC – Irene W. Early, 96, of Denver, formerly of East Palestine, OH, died at 10:47 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Olde Knox Commons in Huntersville, NC.
Mrs. Early was born September 29, 1917 in Unity, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Frederick Pierce. She had lived in North Carolina for the past 5 years coming from East Palestine.
She had been employed as a cafeteria aid for the East Palestine School District for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of East Palestine.
Her husband, Frank L. Early, whom she married March 1, 1938 died May 2, 1996.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frances (Samuel) Anderson, Miss Cynthia J. Early, and Mrs. Elaine (Christopher) Easterling, all of Denver, NC; two sons, Charles C. (Maureen) Early of East Palestine and Michael J. (Judy) Early of Richardson, TX; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded by four brothers, Charles Pierce, Francis Borelli, Mike Borelli, and Jim Borelli.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Friday.
