East Palestine-February 27, 2004-Inez M. Knopp, age 91, formerly of N. Market Street died peacefully at 1:05 a.m. Friday at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem.
Mrs. Knopp was born February 19, 1913 in East Palestine, a daughter of Harry A. and Lottie Kachner Lindsay and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a clerk for various businesses in the area and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in East Palestine.
Her husband, David H. Knopp, whom she married November 6, 1949, died October 29, 2001.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Willeman of Salem, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Buchheit of St. Marys, PA and Mrs. Steve (Carol) Belaney of East Palestine; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, her twin in infancy, Ivern Lindsay, Esther Spear and Margaret Walker and two brothers, Clifford Greaves and Raymond Lindsay.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine with her nephew, Rev. Dr. William Lindsay of Trinity Lutheran Church, East Berlin, PA and Reverend Donald Pentz of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
