Ilma Cartwright

East Palestine, OH- Ilma P. Cartwright, 98, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Hospice House in Poland.

Mrs. Cartwright was born September 1, 1914 in Belleville, IL, a daughter of Charles and Pauline J. Michaelis Veile and had lived in this area since 1944.

Ilma had been a beautician and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in East Palestine. Her husband, Willis J. Cartwright, whom she married July 18, 1944, died October 19, 1982. She is survived by her son, David (Karen) Cartwright of Waldo; two grandchildren, Kathryn (Jerry) Benson of St. John's, MI and Charles Cartwright of Columbus; and three great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home with Pastor Mark McTrustry officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery. Friend may call from 1-2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
