Salem, OH-February 22, 2010, Ida Mae Mellott, 88, of 512 Continental Drive, died at 2:00 a.m. Monday at Essex II of Salem.
Mrs. Mellott was born March 5, 1921 in Washingtonville, a daughter of Matthew and Fernett Bailey Fieldhouse and had lived in this area all of her life.
Ida Mae was a spot welder for WM Inc. in Washingtonville for many years retiring in 1987. She had also worked for the former Dan Dee Company in Leetonia. Ida Mae was a member of Washingtonville Robbins United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Coy M. Mellott, whom she married May 4, 1943, died April 22, 1980.
She is survived by three sons, Edward (Kathy) Mellott, Thomas (Patricia) Mellott and Richard (Dawn) Mellott all of Washingtonville; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor Teresa Smolka officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am-1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
