Clarion, PA - Ian Scott Doran, age 35, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 30, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, PA surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.
Ian was born on September 29, 1989, in Salem, OH, son of Chuck and Cindy (Dilworth) Doran.
Ian was a 2008 graduate of Crestview Schools and a 2011 graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Ian worked as a mental health technician for Clarion Psychiatric Center and attended Clarion First United Methodist Church. He had a passion for photography and caring for others.
Ian is survived by his parents of New Waterford, OH; his partner, Zachary Covington of Clarion, PA; his brother, Chad (Alison Morris) Doran of Boardman, OH; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home ,60 W. Martin St. East Palestine, OH 44413 where services will be held at 5:00 pm with Pastor Jodie Smith of Clarion First United Methodist Church officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of the Butler Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Clarion First United Methodist Church.
