Howard R. Watson

Columbiana, Ohio - Our Dear Dad, Howard R. Watson, 72, formerly of Calcutta, OH, then for the past 18 years of Tullahoma, TN, passed away at his daughter and son-in-law's home on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

He was born September 16, 1942 at East Liverpool Hospital, the son of the late George Watson and Glenna Bailey Watson.

He is survived by his three loving children; daughter, Lisa L. Watson Hall (Jeff) of Columbiana, OH and twin sons, Jeffrey S. Watson (Tanya) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Jonathan K. Watson of Murfreesboro, TN.

He is also survived by a sister, Marilyn (Jim) Hadley, and two nieces, Laura Hadley Talbott (Scott) and Karen Hadley Trotter (Bob), all of East Liverpool, OH along with several special loving cousins.

Dad graduated from Midland, PA, High School in 1960, and then went on to graduate from Geneva College. He began working as a computer programmer at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, PA for 2 years. He then worked as an electrician out of Local 712 in Shippingport, PA until retiring in 1992. After moving to Tullahoma, TN he worked for Primerica as a financial consultant and retired in 2010. While there, he was a member of the Tullahoma Church of Christ.

Dad's wish was to be cremated. A memorial service led by Gary Bailey will be held at the Columbiana Church of Christ on Sunday, January 11th at 2:00 p.m. Dad always loved the Lord and was not afraid of his journey.

From the time Lisa was a little girl and to this day, she and her Dad would always say "goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite, love you to pieces mieces".

Arrangements were entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions may be made in Howard's memory to Hospice of the Valley, 120 W. County Line Rd., 1120 Village Plaza, Columbiana, OH 44408.
