Howard Otto Gumbel

Rogers December 29, 2007 -Howard Otto Gumbel, age 75, of 9864 Sprucevale Road died at 3:00 a.m. Saturday at his residence.

He was born December 31, 1931 in Fairfield Township, son of Otto and Elizabeth Klepfer Gumbel. He had lived in Rogers all of his life.

Mr. Gumbel had been a dairy farmer most of his life and also had been a truck driver for many years for the former Columbiana Storage Company and the former Herron Trucking Company.

He was a member of the Rogers United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Marie George whom he married January 17, 1954; two daughters, Peggy Mills of Rogers and Mrs. Gregory (Shirley) Bowers of Leetonia, a daughter-in-law, Edith Dailey of Rogers; a brother, Kenneth Gumbel of Rogers; and five grandchildren, Douglas Edward Mills, Stacey Marie Mills, Dustin Gregory Bowers, Howard Everett Gumbel and Maria Lynn Gumbel. A son, Howard Dale Gumbel; two sisters Gladys Vale and Cora Raley; and a brother, Thomas Gumbel preceded him in death.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home by Jason Pancake, Minister. Burial will follow in the East Carmel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
