Rogers - February 27, 2008 - Howard E. Baker, Jr., 79, formerly of Farr Street, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mr. Baker was born March 4, 1928 in Akron, a son of Howard E. and Etta Grace Crawford Baker and had lived in the area most of his life, coming from Akron.
He had been employed as a laborer at the former W. S. George Pottery in East Palestine and prior to that at the former Kenmar Manufacturing in East Palestine. He was a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sally Dickey of Long Beach, CA; and several nieces.
A sister, Mildred Baker and a brother, Kenneth Baker are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Lake Mount Church of Christ with Roy Seaux, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
