Horace John Robins

New Waterford March 9, 2004 - Horace John Robins, age 74, of 45885 SR 558 died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the Salem Community Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 26, 1929 in Struthers, son of Horace Harrison and Mildred Eleanor Wisbar Robins.

He had lived in New Waterford for 60 coming from Mahaffey PA. Mr. Robins had been a Operating Engineer for 50 years, operating out of Local 66.

He was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, Operating Engineers Local #66, Edward L. McGuckin Post #4579 Veterans of Foreign Wars at East Palestine.

Mr. Robins served with the 3431 ASU in the Army from 1946 thru 1948 and the Air Force from 1950 thru 1954.

He is survived by his wife, the former Alma Elizabeth McDade whom he married October 4, 1952; two daughters, Mrs. David (Lynn) Hill of Marion and Carey Jo Robins of Clermont, FL; three sons, Timothy John Robins of Mahaffey, PA, Brian Wade Robins of New Waterford and Brett Allen Robins of Mahaffey, PA; a brother, Charles W. Robins of Valrico, FL; a granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Gail Robins; two sisters, Phyllis Robins and Thelma Brown.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchael R. Hennesey officiating.
