Hollie A. Landy

Chagrin Falls- Hollie A. Landy, age 74, of Chagrin Falls, died peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born on March 5, 1943 in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Ethel T. Knight Adams.

Hollie was raised in Erie, PA and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1961 and attended Marjorie Webster College in Washington, D.C. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Chagrin Falls. She worked in child care, owning and operating Hollie's Day Care. During her 40-year career, she touched many different families and multiple generations. She loved shopping, crafts, and scrap booking. Mostly, Hollie loved being a grandma and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom Landy whom she married on July 20, 1963; three daughters, Suzie (Doug) Arlow of Wexford, PA, Ali (Andy) Schuler of University Heights, OH, and Barbie (Steve) Miller, of Chagrin Falls, OH; a sister, Katie Bell of Cortland, OH and a brother, Mike (Kathy) Adams of Dayton, OH. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Kaylie, Riley, and Maggie; five grandsons, Adam, Tommy, Scott, Andrew, and Alex, as well as, her beloved dog, CoCo.

The family will be hosting an informal celebration of life gathering at Hollie's daughters home, located at 618 Bell Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH 44022 on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that any tribute be made in the form of a donation to either the Chagrin Falls Lighting Fund, PO Box 522, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memorial # 11076143, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
