Herman H. Blosser

Salem – Herman H. Blosser, 84, died peacefully at 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Hospice House, Poland.

He was born October 4, 1930 in Columbiana, a son of the late Samuel and Sadie Spiker Blosser and was a lifelong area resident.

Prior to his retirement, Herman had been employed as a machinist for Hunt Valve Company, Inc. of Salem for 45 years. He served as a Corporal in the United States
Army during the Korean War.

He was a lifelong member of Midway Mennonite Church of Columbiana where he enjoyed attending many church functions.

Mr. Blosser loved farming and spending time outdoors but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, the former, Eileen W. Perry, whom he married October 2, 1953; three sons, Verne H. Blosser of Greenford, Phillip P. (Lisa) Blosser of Salem and Kevin S. (Joann) Blosser of Tyler, TX; three daughters, Lynnette E. Kreidler of Enon Valley, PA, Lisa M. (Don) Sawders of Columbiana and Sherri N. Fredericks of Leetonia; three brothers, Arthur Blosser of Columbiana, Emerson Blosser of Goshen, IN and Marcellus (Becky Tyson) Blosser of Elkart, IN; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Herman was preceded in death by four sisters, Adelia Musselman, Berdella Miller, Christine Huffman and Hermine Blosser and a granddaughter, Precella Blosser.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Midway Mennonite Church with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at the Midway Mennonite Cemetery.
