Helen L. Rose

East Palestine - Helen L. Rose, 86, of East Palestine, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Rose was born August 10, 1924 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Henry J. and Albina Lyons Frederick and had lived in this area all of her life.

She had been employed as an assembler at the former M&W Refractories for several years. Prior to that, she had worked at Isaly's in East Palestine.

She is survived by her husband, Ross W. Rose, whom she married March 6, 1942; four daughters, Sherry (Nick) Racz of Randleman, NC, Susan (John) Hoff of Cornelius, NC, Karen (James) Shank of Industry, PA, and Jody McCowin of Boardman; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time. Arrangements were made by the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
