Helen Frances Juhn

Helen F. Juhn, Cross St., passed away at 4:20PM, Sunday, June 25, at her home. Mrs. Juhn was born in Columbiana, OH on January 16, 1910, a daughter of Fred and Pearl (Wright) Lindsay.

A 1928 graduate of Columbiana High School, she was a registered nurse, having graduated in 1932 from the Hannah Mullins School of Nursing in Salem.

She worked in the medical office of Drs. Harry and Lee Bookwalter for many years before retiring in 1954. She was recognized in 1953 with the Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year award for her work in civil defense in Columbiana.

She and her husband, Edward, whom she married June 27, 1953, had resided in Alliance, OH for 31 years, before returning to Columbiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Russell.

She leaves a nephew, John Lindsay (Karen), a stepdaughter, Margie Tuel (Bill), and two step-grandchildren.

A family service was held in the Columbiana Cemetery chapel. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley or the donor's favorite charity.
