Harold Hixson Duvall

Columbiana May 12, 2007 -Harold Hixson Duvall, age 96, formerly of County Road 440 died at 8:25 a.m. Saturday in the Vista Centre at Lisbon.

He was born May 5, 1911 in Buckhannon WV, a son of B. Arthur and Virgie Hixson Duvall and had lived in Columbiana most of his life.

Mr. Duvall had been a mill room worker for the former Franklin Furniture Co. for 39 years. He faithfully attended the Church of the Nazarene of Lisbon.

His first wife, the former Margaret L. Johnson whom he married February 22, 1933 died December 9, 1965. His second wife, the former Maxine J. Smallwood Jackson, whom he married June 7, 1968 died March 13, 2006.

Surviving is a daughter, Isabelle Hauck of Sanford, FL, two-step daughters, Mrs. William (Ruthe E.) Snyder of Columbiana and Mrs. Robert (M. Kathryn) Judy of Warren; a stepson, Richard A. Jackson of Salem; two brothers, Dean H. Duvall of New Waterford and Nile J. Duvall of Miamisburg, OH; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A sister, Erma C. Davis and a brother, Dale A. Duvall are also deceased.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating.

Burial will follow in Paradise UCC Cemetery in Beaver Township.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
