Rogers – Gregory “Greg” L Kimble, age 70, of Rogers, died on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
He was born on July 21, 1955, in Youngstown, son of the late Helen Clark and the late Vernon Kimble.
Greg worked in the auto industry and as a dietary aid. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Penguins fan; he also enjoyed music and playing the guitar. Greg liked to spend time outdoors, camping when possible, but when he was stuck inside he could be found wearing out the table playing solitaire. He loved to cook, and he was good at it, his family believes he missed his calling as a chef. Greg was a caring and compassionate person who loved his family deeply and will be missed by all that knew him.
Gregory is survived by his wife, Lu Ann Wilkes Kimble, whom he married on September 20, 1980; a daughter, Amanda “Dutch” (Curt) Alaksin; a beloved granddaughter, Brooke "Doodle" Alaksin; three sisters, Candy (Wally) Seaver of Cape Cod, MA, Jackie (Ron) Weber of Lakeworth, FL and Connie (Gary) Seacrist of North Canton. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews and his dog, Cooper.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Kimble and Randy Kimble and a sister-in-law, Beth Kimble.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or a cancer research charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
