Grace L. Beight
East Palestine - December 9, 2004 -Grace L. Beight, age 88, formerly of SR 170, East Palestine, died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday at the Tender Care of Westwood in Kalamazoo, MI.
Mrs. Beight was born January 17, 1916 in Beaver County, PA, a daughter of Theodore and Minnie Harper Mahon and had lived in the East Palestine area until moving to Michigan 3 1/2 years ago.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.
Her husband, Kenneth J. Beight, whom she married January 9, 1933 died January 16, 1974.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virendra (Sheryl) Singh of Mattawan, MI, two sisters, Martha Rupert of Philadelphia, PA and Thelma Gibson of Salem, OH; and two grandchildren.
A sister, Freda Mahon and a brother, Glen Mahon are also deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will be in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
