Gloria A. Holisky

Columbiana - Gloria A. Holisky, 88, formerly of Leetonia, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2015 after a brief illness.

Gloria was born November 8, 1927 in Leetonia, a daughter of William and Nellie Cross Bergman and resided in Leetonia with her late husband, George for 48 years.

Gloria retired from American Standard in 1989 and had also worked at Ort Furniture and the DanDee Company. She was past president and vice president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Leetonia and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Order of the Sons of Italy. She was an avid bowler and belonged to a league for 15 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Scullion of Phoenix, AZ and Tina Jurjavic of East Palestine; a son, George (Joanna Armstrong, fiancAC.) Holisky Jr. of Washingtonville; two sisters, Blanche Feezle of Leetonia and Arlene Probert of Washington; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sr. in 1995; a son, Larry Holisky and two sisters, Marie Leyman and Francis Leyman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia.

Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
