Gloria J. Glossen Ray

Youngstown - Gloria J. Glossen Ray, 72, of Omni West Assisted Living, formerly of East Palestine, died at 1:40 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at her home.

Gloria was born September 20, 1941 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Viola M. Roshon Glossen and had lived in East Palestine all of her life until moving in to assisted living in recent years.

She had been employed as a secretary for the former Gold Cross Ambulance, Youngstown and was a member of the First Church of Christ, East Palestine.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Ray; a sister, Evelyn McClish and a brother, Donald R. Glossen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
