Columbiana – Glenn D. Keller, 83, of Columbiana, formerly of Youngstown, died at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Mr. Keller was born December 6, 1931 in Waltersburg, PA, son of the late Benjamin and Myrtle Bean Keller. He served as corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and also served as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Mr. Keller was employed for much of his life as a general foreman at the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube. After retirement from the steel mill, Glenn spent over 20 years serving the community with Great Garage Doors. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion in Columbiana. He spent much of his life traveling to warmer weather and sunny beaches and enjoyed nights out dancing with his wife and friends. He passionately cheered for the Pittsburgh Steelers and even more so his own family members’ athletic endeavors. Above all, Glenn was a selfless husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He carried a permanent smile on his face and had a resilient spirit. His presence was felt by all around him and will be carried in the hearts of his loved ones.
