Gladys Ellen Werner

Columbiana - March 22, 2010 - Gladys Ellen Werner, 77, of 3645 Middleton Road, died Monday at Hospice House of Poland.

Mrs. Werner was born November 13, 1932 in Sebring, a daughter of the late James Arthur and Marciline Rush Baker and had lived in this area all her life.

Gladys had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Werner Service; prior to that she had been employed at the Columbiana Foundry and the former Country Corner Restaurant of Columbiana. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana.

She is survived by her husband, Roy W. Werner whom she married May 14, 1955; four brothers, William Baker of Mesa, AZ, Ivan Baker of Oberlin, James Baker of Amherst, and Gary Baker of Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty McKenna and Virginia Baker and one brother, Robert Baker.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens of New Waterford with Pastor Paula Archdeacon officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Burial will follow the service in the cemetery.
