Geraldyne R. Foutts

Columbiana – Geraldyne R. Foutts, 77, of Columbiana died on Friday, January 30, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Foutts was born September 3, 1937 in Columbiana, a daughter of the late Lewis and Hazel Byers Raynes and had lived in the area all of her life. She was a 1955 graduate of Columbiana High School.

Mrs. Foutts was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana since 1953 where she served as secretary for 19 years. She also served as church Elder, was a member of the Board of Deacons and the Board of Trustees, was a Sunday School teacher, a member of Care Team and Dorcas Circle. Prior to working at the church she was employed at Home Savings & Loan, Columbiana.

Her husband, Alton Owen Foutts, whom she married August 24, 1962 died on October 21, 2011.

Surviving her are three nieces and two nephews.

Three brothers, Clay Raynes, Donald and Harold Felger and a sister, Eleanor Sosenko also preceded her in death.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana with Pastor Fritz Nelson and the Rev. Dr. Dan Schomer officiating. Private burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
