Gerald 'Jerry' Lee Turney

New Waterford - Gerald Lee "Jerry" Turney- 70 of Boardman Street, died at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday August 9th at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown.

Born March 13, 1936 in Salem he was the son of the late George and Gertrude Turney.

He retired from the former Franklin Furniture Company in Columbiana.

Surviving him are his wife of 50 years, Carol L. (Westlake) Turney of New Waterford: three sons, Jerry Curtis (Kay) Turney of Wooster: Erin Kevin Turney and Jay (Gina) Turney both of Salem: a daughter Pamela (Bob) Graff of Leetonia; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandson; two sisters Arlene Roessler of Canfield, Kathryn Fowler of Salem, and a brother Ronald Turney also of Salem.

Preceding him in death are three sisters; Marjorie Garrett, Betty Falk, Doris Beiling, and two brothers; George Jr. and Gene Turney.

He was a long time Cleveland Indians Baseball Fan. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Columbiana Burger King and traveling.

Friends may call on Sunday from 7-9:00 p.m.

Services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Vincent of the New Waterford United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the New Waterford Cemetery.
