Gerald Allen Kimble

Columbiana - Gerald Allen Kimble, 68, of South Main Street, died at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.

He was born July 10, 1945 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Gerald L. and Mary Simkins Kimble and was a lifetime area resident.

He had been employed at Columbiana Foundry for 35 years, retiring in 2012. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam War.

Gerald enjoyed collecting coins and stamps but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Mary I. Kimble of Columbiana; a daughter, Lori (Scott) Getz of Medina; two sons, Gerald (Terrie) Kimble of Naples, FL and Tim Kimble of Dundalk, MD; a sister, Nancy Myers of Columbiana; a brother, Dennis (Linda) Kimble of Columbiana; his former wife, Joyce A. Price Kimble of Medina, eight grandchildren, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the funeral home.
