George R. Todd

Rogers - August 24, 2008 - George R. Todd, 73, of 45675 Pine Hollow Road died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the Parkside Health Care Center.

Mr. Todd was born Oct. 7, 1934 in Rogers, a son of Clarence H. and Anna C. Henderson Todd and had lived in the Rogers area all his life. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and was a member of the Rogers United Methodist Church.

He had been employed as a truck driver for M & T Trucking and prior to that at Dutch Blum Trucking for several years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gail Warren, Robert Edward and James Richard Todd.

He is survived by his wife the former, Mary E. Manning; three sons, Gordon R., Rex A., and Wess A. Todd all of Rogers; two sisters, Mary Lou Steeb of Columbiana and Flo Mrugala of Guilford Lake; two brothers William Todd of Clarkson and Roy Todd of East Palestine; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Claye Folger officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carmel Cemetery. Benjamin Firestone Post #290 of the American Legion will accord military honors.
