George H. Finley

Salem - George H. Finley, 84, of Salem, formerly of Columbiana, died at 2:40 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Finley was born February 25, 1932 in Mount Pleasant, PA, a son of the late John W. and Bessie Pickstone Finley and had lived in this area most of his life. He had been employed as a mill wright at Columbiana Pump Company, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy L. Steiner Finley and his second wife, Janet M. Felton Finley.

He is survived by three daughters, Rose A. (Roy) Pietras of Louisville, Delores "Penny" Kelly of Columbiana, and Elizabeth Ann Meyer of Columbiana; five sons, George (Kay) Finley, Jr. of Salem, John H. Finley of Washingtonville, Herb (Lynn) Finley of Columbiana, Wayne (Jackie) Finley of Columbiana; and Kevin (Stephanie) Finley of Mogadore; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana with Pastor Fritz Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church.
