George M. Carvender

Columbiana- George M. Carvender, age 87, of Columbiana, died on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on March 1, 1930 in Jackson, MI., a son of the late John and Lilian Rudy Carvender.

George was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard having served during the Korean War. He worked as a route supervisor for the Youngstown Vindicator and attended Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian R. Krimmer Carvender, whom he married on October 10, 1998; Children, Jeanie, Mary Ellen, John, Joyce, Cindy, Raymond, Wayne, and John P.; brother, John Carvender; sister, Dorothy Rose Heidi; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Carvender and a daughter, Valerie.

Per his wishes, no services will be held.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Youngstown.

Memorial tributes may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
