Gaylord Reiser

East Palestine, OH-June 7, 2005-Gaylord F. "Skip" Reiser, age 67, of 2273 Brookdale Ave. died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Community Hospital.

Mr. Reiser was born January 22, 1938 in Freedom, PA a son of the late John and Eleanor Cottom Reiser and had lived here since 1961 coming from Freedom, PA. He was a machinist for the former Westinghouse Corp. and later Eaton Company in Beaver, PA retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Community Church, Unity and the East Palestine Lodge #417 F & AM.

He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Strohecker, whom he married October 7, 1961; a daughter, Ms. Nancy Watt of East Palestine; two sons, John (Lori) Reiser of Salem and Brian (Melissa) Reiser of East Palestine; two sisters, Mrs. Merle (Phyllis) Schultheis of Rochester, PA and Mrs. Steve (Pricilla) Bees of Watauga, TX; a brother, Lloyd (Vicki) Reiser of Cooperstown, PA and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Reiser.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Congemi officiating. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where East Palestine Lodge will conduct Masonic Services at 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
