Gail "Ann" Hoover

Columbiana- Gail “Ann” Hoover, age 89, of Columbiana, died on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on August 19, 1926, in Columbiana, a daughter of the late W. Gould Moore and Etta K. Meneely Moore.

Ann was a 1944 graduate of Columbiana High School and was a member of Grace Church, Columbiana. She worked as a secretary for several local business including B & N Transportation, NRM, New Waterford Bank and the Dutch Cupboard.

She loved quilting and was a great baker. She also enjoyed watching the birds.

Her husband, Donald C. Hoover, whom she married in 1946, preceded her in death on April 12, 1964.

She is survived by two sons, William (Cathy) Hoover of Columbiana and Thomas Hoover of Columbiana. Also surviving is her granddaughter, Laurie (Dr. Alex) Heintzelman of Salem.

Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Gonzalez.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert C. Joy officiating.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery.
