Salem, OH - February 26, 2005 -Frieda Fay Wilson, 86, of 2345 Lexington Ave. died at 1:41 a.m. Saturday at Salem Community Hospital of heart failure.

Mrs. Wilson was born July 16, 1918 in Franklin Square, a daughter of William Hugh and Wanda Molly Marshall and had lived in the Salem area for the past 10 years coming from Columbia Station, OH.

She had been a secretary for General Industries in Elyria for several years and had also worked for the former Commercial Motors. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Salem and was active in volunteering at Salem Community Hospital, Red Cross and Mobile Meals. She was also instrumental in organizing an exercise class at Courtyard in Salem.

Her husband, James Lennox Wilson, who she married July 15, 1946 died January 10, 1986.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Ila Laws of Salem; two brothers, Lester Marshall of Salem and Marion (Julia) Marshall of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Meryl Miklavic and Beulah Martin and two brothers, Lloyd and Vernon Marshall are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with the Reverend Mac Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Square Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Salem Red Cross or Salem Community Hospital Volunteers.
