Francis J. Borelli, 89, of 129 Claybrook Drive, died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Essex of Salem I.
Mr. Borelli was born March 29, 1922 in East Palestine, a son on the late Dennis and Anna Frederick Borelli and had lived here since 2006, coming from Chester, VA. He had served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, East Palestine.
He had been employed as a machinist at the Adamson Company for 40 years, retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Smith Wilson, whom he married December 30, 1990; a daughter, Janett Beatty of Chester, VA; a son, Jeffrey Borelli of East Palestine; a half sister, Irene Early of Denver, NC; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a step son, Larry Wilson; a grandson, Tanner Lee Wilson; two brothers, James Borelli and Michael Borelli; and a half brother, Charles Peirce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Reverend Thomas Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
