Frances V. Burt

Columbiana- Frances V. Burt, age 84, of Columbiana, died on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.

She was born on January 7, 1931 in Medart, FL, a daughter of the late George and Ella Pelt Posey.

Frances was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of American Legion, Columbiana and the Drexler Post, VFW #5532 Washingtonville.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Goppert of New Waterford and Denise (Timothy) Dickey of Columbiana; two sons, Rick (Terri) Burt of Columbiana and Gary (Cindy) Burt of Columbiana and by two sisters, Shirley Stahl of Tampa, FL and Linda (George) Majlaton of Lanham, MD. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by a son in-law, Eugene Goppert.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.
